I am an avid fan of Ubuntu. I’ve installed Ubuntu since Dapper Drake (version 6.06) on my laptop. But because of instability back then, I switch back to WinXP. When Hardy Heron (version 8.04) was released, I re-installed Ubuntu and found it stable enough. I then came across this website Turn Your Ubuntu Hardy to Mac OSX Leopard – Make Tech Easier ,I was intrigued and of course I tried it. I was amazed how my desktop looked like a Mac OS desktop.
I installed 9.04 recently and checked back at the website and found out that there is an updated version of the post. This time it was for 8.04. Click here. I followed some of the steps and check out my screenshot.
I didn’t install the global menu, usplash (Mac OS splash screen look-alike) and dashboard effects. I retained the Applications, Places, System links above and downloaded a different theme for the avant window manager below. I kinda like it this way.
Thanks to MakeTechEasier website for the tips..
